Dr. Ahren Castro is therapeutically certified to treat eye disease and is an optometric glaucoma specialist. He attended the University of Houston and graduated Summa Cum Laude, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He continued his studies at the University of Houston, College of Optometry and graduated in 2007. Dr. Castro has had extensive clinical in-house and externship training in primary eye care, specialty contact lenses, general and neuro-ophthalmology, as well as with cataract and LASIK pre and post-operative co-management practices. Since becoming a licensed optometrist, Dr. Castro spent 7 years working in neuro-ophthalmology before starting his practice and has over 15 years of experience working in the optometric field. He is currently a member of the Harris County Optometric Association.

Dr. Castro was raised in Houston and enjoys discovering new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
